Our Purpose

The purpose of this club shall be to stimulate an interest in horticulture in Harrisburg and vicinity; to promote a knowledge of gardening among amateurs; to advance city and road beautification; to aid in the protection and conservation of native trees, plants, bird life; and to and to promote an interest in and appreciation for flower arranging.

We are members of the following organizations:

National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC,Inc.) Central Atlantic Region of State Garden Clubs, INC. (CAR-SGC) The Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania (GCFP) District IV of (GCFP) Friends of Wildwood Lake Nature Center

We offer one annual scholarship in the amount of $1000.00.

to high school seniors planning to attend a four year college or university with a major in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Architecture, Conservation, Forestery, Botany, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Environmental Science, Land Management, Wildlife Sciences, Urban or Regional Planning, or plant or ecology related studies.
